...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM AKST WEDNESDAY...



* WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Additional snow accumulations up to 

  one inch. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.



* WHERE...Whittier.



* WHEN...Until 6 AM AKST Wednesday.



* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult, with white-out conditions at 

  times. Snow drifts will pose a hazard to walking and driving.



* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Westerly winds will strengthen today, which 

  will allow dry and fluffy snow to be easily blown around, 

  resulting in low visibilities and drifts. Winds will strengthen 

  further through tonight. There is some uncertainty in when the 

  really low visibilities will end. There is a chance that blizzard 

  conditions persist through the day Wednesday.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are 

expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds 

and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout 

conditions, making travel very hazardous. If you must travel, have a 

winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your 

vehicle.
