FOR NORTHWESTERN JACKSON, SOUTHWESTERN HAAKON AND EAST CENTRAL

PENNINGTON COUNTIES...



At 1054 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Delta 1 Launch

Facility, or 17 miles southwest of Philip, moving north at 40 mph.



HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to

         roofs, siding, and trees.



Locations impacted include...

  Cactus Flat, Minuteman Missile Visitors Center, Delta 1 Launch

  Facility and Cottonwood.



This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 120

and 135.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from

windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and large

hail.
