...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR EASTERN OTTER TAIL COUNTY IS

CANCELLED...



The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the warned 

area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.



However, post-thunderstorm damaging wind gusts approaching 60 mph 

will continue into the early afternoon.



A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until noon CDT for west

central Minnesota. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch also remains in effect

until 400 PM CDT for central Minnesota.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1215 PM CDT

FOR WADENA COUNTY...



At 1143 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line

extending from near Oshawa to near Casino to 6 miles southwest of

Cushing, moving east at 45 mph.



HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable 

         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, 

         roofs, and outbuildings.



Locations impacted include...

Wadena, Sebeka, Verndale, Staples Airport, Huntersville, Nimrod, and

Aldrich.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly

from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the

basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.



For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a

building.
