...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 315 PM CDT FOR

SOUTHWESTERN MCHENRY AND SOUTHEASTERN WARD COUNTIES...



At 240 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles north of

Benedict, or 23 miles south of Minot, moving north at 20 mph.



HAZARD...Two inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail

         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind

         damage to roofs, siding, and trees.



Locations impacted include...

  Velva, Sawyer, Voltaire, Logan and Simcoe.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure

and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing

dangerous hail and damaging winds.
