...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 PM CDT

FOR NORTHEASTERN MCLEAN AND NORTHEASTERN MERCER COUNTIES...



At 940 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from

over Hazen Bay Recreation Area to 6 miles south of Ruso City, or

along a line from 15 miles southwest of Garrison to 23 miles east of

Garrison, moving northeast at 35 mph.



HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail

         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind

         damage to roofs, siding, and trees.



Locations impacted include...

  Garrison, Riverdale, Pick City, Coleharbor, Butte, Benedict, Ruso

  City, Hazen Bay Recreation Area, Beulah Bay Recreation Area, Ruso,

  Fort Stevenson State Park, Lake Sakakawea State Park, Strawberry

  Lake, Emmet and Dakota Waters Recreation Area.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure

and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing

dangerous hail and damaging winds.



Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter

immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built

structure.
