...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 PM CDT FOR

NORTH CENTRAL MORTON AND CENTRAL OLIVER COUNTIES...



At 747 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles north of New

Salem, or 27 miles west of Mandan, moving north at 40 mph.



HAZARD...Ping pong ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.



SOURCE...Trained spotters reported. At 742 PM CDT, ping pong ball

         size hail was reported 5 miles northwest of New Salem.



IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail

         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect wind

         damage to roofs, siding, and trees.



Locations impacted include...

  Center, Hannover, Nelson Lake and Fort Clark.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from

windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and has

produced large hail.
