FOR NORTHEASTERN HAND...SOUTHWESTERN DAY...SOUTHEASTERN BROWN...

NORTHWESTERN CLARK AND SPINK COUNTIES...



At 745 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Verdon, or 15

miles south of Groton, moving northeast at 45 mph.



HAZARD...Two inch hail and 70 mph wind gusts.



SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.



IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail 

         damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect 

         considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to 

         mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.



Locations impacted include...

  Ferney and Andover.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



Prepare immediately for large hail and damaging winds. People outside

should move to a shelter, inside a strong building and away from

windows.



Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to

flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
