...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 615 AM CDT

FOR NORTHERN LYMAN COUNTY...



At 545 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line

extending from near Rousseau to near Cedar Creek Rec Area to 11 miles

southeast of Earling Hill, moving northeast at 35 mph.



HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.



SOURCE...Public.



IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable 

         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes, 

         roofs, and outbuildings.



Locations impacted include...

Presho, Kennebec, Reliance, Medicine Butte, Fate Dam, 5 Mile Corner,

Earling Hill, Lyman, Byre Lake, and southwestern Lower Brule

Reservation.



PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...



This is a DANGEROUS SITUATION. These storms are producing widespread 

wind damage across Lyman County. SEEK SHELTER NOW inside a sturdy 

structure and stay away from windows.

 

Torrential rainfall is occurring with these storms, and may lead to

flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
