* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...

  Western Jackson County in southwestern South Dakota...

  Southwestern Haakon County in west central South Dakota...

  Southeastern Pennington County in west central South Dakota...



* Until 1115 PM MDT.



* At 1026 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles north of

  Potato Creek, or 28 miles southwest of Kadoka, moving north at 40

  mph.



  HAZARD...Tennis ball size hail and 60 mph wind gusts.



  SOURCE...Radar indicated.



  IMPACT...People and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail

           damage to roofs, siding, windows, and vehicles. Expect

           wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.



* Locations impacted include...

  Potato Creek, Interior, northeastern Badlands National Park, Cedar

  Pass, Cactus Flat, Minuteman Missile Visitors Center, Delta 1

  Launch Facility, Delta 9 Missile Silo, Quinn, Cottonwood and

  Philip.



This includes Interstate 90 in South Dakota between Mile Markers 115

and 141.

Anyone outdoors should move to shelter inside a well-built structure

and stay away from windows. This storm is capable of producing

dangerous hail and damaging winds.
