...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL WAKE AND JOHNSTON

COUNTIES THROUGH 800 PM EDT...



At 700 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near

Clayton, or 10 miles northwest of Smithfield, moving east at 25 mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects.



Locations impacted include...

Smithfield, Garner, Clayton, Micro, Selma, Four Oaks, Pine Level,

Kenly, Princeton, and Flowers.



This includes the following highways...

 Interstate 95 between Mile Markers 107 and 87.

 Interstate 40 between Mile Markers 306 and 322.
