...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL CARTERET COUNTY THROUGH

800 PM EDT...



At 736 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over

Williston, or 8 miles northeast of Harkers Island, moving east at 35

mph.



HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.



SOURCE...Radar indicated.



IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around 

         unsecured objects.



Locations impacted include...

Morehead City, Harkers Island, North River, Sealevel, Marshallberg,

Davis, Straits, Smyrna, Atlantic, Otway, Williston, Open Grounds

Farm, Stacy, Bettie, Michael J Smith Airport, Cape Lookout

Lighthouse, Rachel Carson Estuarine Reserve, Fort Macon State Park,

and Gloucester.
