...INCREASED FIRE DANGER FROM 11 AM EST THIS MORNING

THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON FOR THE WESTERN PIEDMONT AND FOOTHILLS OF

NORTH CAROLINA AND NORTHEAST GEORGIA...



Relative humidity in the 20 to 25% range are expected across the

western Carolinas and northeast Georgia this afternoon. Breezy 

conditions are expected this afternoon as well with gusts between

15 to 25 mph. The combination of low humidity, breezy conditions,

and dry vegetation will enhance the fire danger across the area.



Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether

you can burn today. If you do burn, use extreme caution since

fires can quickly get out of hand under these conditions.
