Afternoon high temperatures across region largely reached into the 40s and 50s, with some areas in western Kansas and Oklahoma seeing values approaching 60 degrees. Breezy northwest winds were observed across portions of western Nebraska and northwest Kansas, though a majority of the area remained relatively calm. Temperatures overnight will mostly drop into the 20s and 30s throughout the Central Plains under clear to mostly clear skies. Light winds and dry conditions will prevail heading into Wednesday morning. High temperatures on Wednesday will reach the 50s and 60s from Nebraska to Oklahoma under mostly sunny skies. Light winds out of the west and southwest are forecast for Kansas and Oklahoma, while a majority of Nebraska will once again see winds out of the northwest as the dry pattern continues over Middle America. $$
