Light snow and freezing drizzle are likely across northern and

eastern parts of the region tonight through Wednesday morning.

Temperatures will begin cooling from northeast to southwest

tonight through Wednesday, with daytime temperatures ranging from

the single digits below zero in the northern Red River Valley to

the 30s from southeast Montana into western South Dakota. A large

contrast in temperatures from cold northeast to mild southwest is

forecast to remain in place to start the new year.
