Through 6 pm, isolated showers and occasionally a thunderstorm will 

continue waxing and waning across the distant Straits of Florida as

they move westward between 5 to 10 knots. Mariners encountering the 

stronger of the activity will be capable of moderate to heavy 

downpours reducing visibilities, wind gusts of near 25 knots, and 

brief bouts of lightning.

Through 6 pm, a cloud line has developed along the Lower Keys, 

especially from Key West to Big Coppitt Key, remaining nearly 

stationary. Cloud lines are notorious for producing waterspouts, 

especially at the first hint of rain. As of now, no waterspouts have

been reported, though, they are possible. This cloud line has also 

been producing some brief bouts of moderate to heavy rain with the 

potential for wind gusts to near 20 knots.
