This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of east central, 

north central, and northeast Kansas.



.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight



Very high fire danger will continue through 6pm across east 

central Kansas, or areas south of Interstate 70. Avoid outdoor 

activities that could spark a fire. 



.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday



A wintry mix of snow, freezing rain and rain are forecast for

Sunday and Sunday night. A winter weather advisory is posted for

northeast and parts of north central Kansas from noon Sunday until

9am Monday. Initially some light snow is expected to develop

Sunday afternoon and gradually transition to freezing rain and 

rain Sunday evening. Some freezing drizzle will remain possible

into Monday morning. Accumulations of snow and ice are expected 

to be minor. However this could impact travel conditions with some

slick spots developing on untreated surfaces.
