This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central...east

central...south central and southeast Colorado.



.DAY ONE...Tonight



Strong winds will be possible overnight across the higher peaks

and lower east facing slopes of the southeast mountains,

particularly the Wets and southern Sangre De Cristo mountains.  

Localized gusts up to 65 mph will be possible across the higher 

elevations with gusts to 55 mph possible along the southern I-25 

corridor towards dawn. Critical fire weather conditions will 

return to the Sangres, Wets and southern I-25 corridor regions 

after 3 AM as winds pick up and humidity values drop.  



.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday



Critical fire weather conditions continue through much of next 

week, as dry and windy conditions persist. The day of greatest 

concern is Monday when winds will be strongest during this 

forecast period. While confidence is very low in thunderstorm 

development, there is potential for dry lightning during the week.
