central Illinois, southeast Illinois and west central Illinois.

Heat index readings will remain near 100 degrees early this evening.

This will cause a risk of heat- related illness in sensitive 

individuals and those without access to effective cooling.



.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.



Peak heat index readings will climb into the 102 to 108 degree range

Monday through Friday. This will cause a risk of heat- related 

illness in sensitive individuals and those without access to 

effective cooling.



Scattered thunderstorms return to the forecast late Thursday into 

Saturday.
