This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Kansas,

east central Kansas, south central Kansas and southeast Kansas.



.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight



Warm temperatures and high humidity will promote heat index values

between 100 and 105 degrees this afternoon and into early this

evening.



Flooding continues along the Arkansas river near Arkansas city. Do

not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades.



Strong and gusty south winds will affect parts of central, south 

central, and southeast Kansas into early this evening. See wind 

advisory for more details.



.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday



Heat index values near 100 degrees are expected in southeast Kansas

on Tuesday and Wednesday.



Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible during the

afternoon and evening hours on Tuesday and Wednesday in central 

Kansas.



Additional spotty showers and thunderstorms are possible Saturday

night into Sunday. Severe storms are not expected.
