This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa.



.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight



An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect for the area through either

Tuesday or Wednesday evening. Please refer to the National 

Weather Service website at weather.gov/desmoines for further 

details.



There is a risk for severe weather this evening into the overnight

with damaging wind gusts and hail the main hazards.



.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday



An Extreme Heat Warning is in effect for the area through either

Tuesday or Wednesday evening. Please refer to the National 

Weather Service website at weather.gov/desmoines for further 

details.



Isolated severe weather is possible over northern Iowa Tuesday

night with large hail and damaging wind gusts the main hazards.



There will be additional chances for storms at times, which will 

be highest over northern portions of Iowa through the end of the 

week. Any severe or flash flooding risk will be assessed in the 

coming days.
