This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Kansas,

south central Kansas, southwest Kansas, and west central Kansas.



.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight



Greater chance of elevated fire weather conditions are expected

today compared to previous days as a better overlap of low

humidity and breezy conditons will occur. Humidity levels will be

10-20% across the entire forecast area, with wind gusts reaching

20-25 mph at times. This combination will result in any potential

fires to escape control more easily and become difficult to

contain. Precautions should be taken to prevent the spark of

wildfires.



.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday



There continues to be a risk for wintry precipitation, including

sleet and freezing drizzle, late Sunday afternoon into Monday 

morning. Chances of precipitation occurring remains low, around 

20-30%, mainly east of Route 283. If wintry precipitation occurs, 

some localized areas of hazardous travel would occur. Forecast 

continues to be monitored on the overall expected impact of any 

wintry weather.
