The more persistent type of rain diminishes early this afternoon, giving way to a more showery type of precipitation late afternoon and evening. Some thunder cannot be ruled out late afternoon and early evening. Additional showers and perhaps a thunderstorm will be around Tuesday, though the vast majority of additional precipitation will fall through the remainder of the day today.
