Late this afternoon (beginning around 5:00), an approaching surface trough will cause winds to weaken and back counterclockwise from southerly to southeasterly at about 10 mph. There is uncertainty in the wind direction forecast overnight with a cold front expected to make it to near, but probably not south of, the Red River.
