Warm and dry conditions expected for the rest of the day, with air temperatures peaking around or a little above 80 degrees. Limited moisture return will act to keep minimum RHs above 30 percent even during peak heating. A developing surface low just west of the burn site introduces some uncertainty into the wind direction forecast from the late afternoon through the early overnight period. Prior to that, expect a south-southwest (180-210 degree) wind direction to prevail with magnitudes of 10-15 mph. By late afternoon (4 pm or so), the influence of the developing surface low will gradually cause the wind to back counterclockwise from SSW toward an eventually ENE (70-90 degree) direction.
