759 FNUS74 KLIX 281006 FWSLIX Spot Forecast for G-06...USFWS National Weather Service New Orleans LA 406 AM CST Sat Feb 28 2026 If conditions become unrepresentative, contact the National Weather Service. We can be reached at (985) 649-0357 if you have questions or concerns with this forecast. .DISCUSSION... Drier air is filtering into the area as a weak cold front continues to push offshore. Saturday and Sunday afternoon min relative humidity could reach into the mid to upper 20 percent range for areas north of the I-10/I-12 corridor, with areas south seeing in the 30 to 50 percent range. However, winds will remain light, helping to limit any fire growth. While there are no significant widespread rain chances through the next 7 days, isolated to widely scattered showers and storms typical of a warm season pattern are forecast to return to the area during the middle to latter part of next week. Patchy fog will be possible during the late night and early morning hours through the weekend. While dense fog is not currently anticipated, it cannot be ruled out - especially in areas where the heaviest rain fell this morning and in the vicinity of any smoldering fires. .TODAY...
