An upper-level low will drift slowly westward over the Northwestern Hawaiian Islands this week, bringing increased chances for showers and isolated thunderstorms to Laysan and Lisianski. High pressure off to the northeast will keep a fairly consistent easterly moderate to fresh breeze for the islands, with the exception of erratic and gusty winds produced by any thunderstorm activity. Swell activity will stay small (2 feet or less), with multiple overlapping south swells moving through the area this week along with a pair of small, medium-period west and northwest swells with the first peaking tonight and fading on Tuesday, and arriving on Wednesday to peak on Thursday. .TODAY...
