Critical fire weather conditions are ongoing with very strong winds out of the west-southwest. Winds likely peaked in the last hour, but gusts of 50 to 60 mph will remain possible for another 1-2 hours, followed by gradual weakening through the remainder of the evening. Expect gusts to drop off around 1 or 2AM. RH recovery will be poor to fair tonight, only to between 35 and 45 percent. Winds will pick up again around 9-10AM. The direction will be west- southwest again with gusts around 20 to 30 mph. The wind direction will back to the south as the day progresses. Expect RH to drop to between 12 and 15% Tuesday afternoon.
