Afternoon highs will warm into the mid 60s to low 80s with RH values generally in the 25 to 35% range but portions of far southern MO could see RH values around 20%. Southerly winds of 10 to 20 mph with some gust potential up to 30 mph will bring some elevated fire weather into western Missouri and southeast Kansas during the afternoon. A cold front will move through the region later this afternoon and evening and wind will become more northerly this evening and tonight. A band of mainly rain will move into the western portions of the area Sunday afternoon with some isolated rumbles of thunder possible. Rain will become likely over the area Sunday night into Monday. Extended planning outlook: Models show a trend toward an active, rainy pattern becoming established from late this weekend into the middle of March.
