Widespread elevated fire weather conditions, and locally near critical over the higher terrain of the eastern district, will once again develop Tuesday afternoon into the evening due to continued gusty southwest winds. Southwesterly wind gusts Tuesday will peak around 20-30 mph for the eastern district and locally stronger over ridgetops. By Wednesday, wind directions will begin following mostly terrain-driven tendencies, with afternoon/early evening gusts dropping into a 15-25 mph range areawide.
