240 FNUS55 KPSR 282021 FWFPSR Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Southwest and South-Central Arizona and Southeast California National Weather Service Phoenix AZ 121 PM MST Sun Jun 28 2026 ...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MST THIS EVENING DUE TO STRONG WINDS...LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND VERY HIGH FIRE DANGER... .DISCUSSION... A very unusual weather pattern for late June will continue to affect the region through early this upcoming work week. Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions will once again develop during the afternoon and early evening on Monday and Tuesday, particularly for the high terrain of the eastern districts due to lingering breezy conditions (afternoon gusts to 20-30 mph and locally higher over ridgetops) and low RHs, a few points lower than Sunday. Afternoon minimum humidities between 8-15% areawide will follow poor to fair overnight recoveries through Tuesday. Temperatures will remain below normal through at least the first half of the upcoming week. Note...Additional Fire Weather Forecast information can be found in the Area Forecast Discussion.
