A dry cold front passing through the region this evening and tonight will cause light winds to become variable in direction through the morning hours. Partly sunny skies are expected tomorrow as temperatures for most locations warm above normal once again and winds turn to out of the south. This will help bring some moisture into the region, though RH will still drop to around 30% across northeastern Missouri, west- central Illinois, and the Ozarks. In these areas, conditions will briefly hit Elevated Fire Danger, with winds being the current limiting factor for a greater threat. Another stronger cold front drops through the area Saturday evening, brining cold air to the region for Sunday. A widespread soaking rain and wintry mix is then expected across the area Sunday night into Monday morning, with additional rounds of rainfall expected through the week.
