Critical fire weather conditions are ongoing across portions of eastern Colorado and extreme northwest Kansas as some gusts up to 30 mph have been observed. A slow moving front is moving northeast to southwest across the area which brings an end to any critical conditions behind it. With the front the wind does shift to the northeast so something to be aware of. Winds throughout the night are forecast to shift to the southeast and be sustained around 10-15 mph with some gusts up to 25 mph possible. Fire weather concerns finally take a back seat for a few days as some moisture advection and some wintry mix potential presents itself Sunday through Monday. Am keeping an eye on Thursday as our next potential critical fire day.
