Upper level high pressure begins to build across the southwest 

CONUS with a return to mild above normal temperatures. Did bump 

highs a few degrees across the southwest where WAA should bring 

highs into the low 50s for Tuesday. There may be some elevated 

fire weather concerns across western Nebraska with min around 25

to 30 percent across far southwestern Nebraska.

Upper level ridge expands eastward for Wednesday with highs 

reaching the upper 50s across southwest Nebraska. The ridge 

become more amplified on Thursday and Friday before the ridge 

builds in eastward into the High Plains with good WAA will see 

upper 50s to low 60s possible across the Sandhills and western 

Nebraska. Elevated fire weather concerns will continue Wednesday

and Thursday with min RH around 20 to 25 percent across 

southwest and portions of western Nebraska on Wednesday and 

Thursday afternoons. Winds however will remain light both days 

around 5 to 10 mph. No precipitation is expected through the 

weekend.

VFR conditions are expected to prevail through Tuesday night

across western and north central Nebraska. Light west winds

continue through sunrise Tuesday, at 5kts or less. Winds are
