Freeze Warning Tonight for Southeast Georgia & I-10 Area. Freeze Watch Tuesday Night for Southeast Georgia & Inland Northeast Florida with. Additional Inland Light Freezes with Widespread Frost Potential Wed Night - Small Craft Advisory Through Tuesday Afternoon for Coastal Waters && .NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/... Early this morning...Advective light freeze still on track across inland SE GA where temps will bottom out around 30F just after sunrise this morning, with 30s expected elsewhere, along with wind chills in the middle to upper 20s, likely remaining just above Cold Weather Advisory criteria. Today...Below normal temps are expected as cold air advection in NW flow will continue with occasional high clouds at times, mainly across NE FL. This will will hold Max Temps in the upper 40s to around 50F across SE GA and only reaching the lower to middle 50s across NE FL. Tonight...Cold high pressure builds west of the region with cold air continuing to sink into the local area on NW winds at 5-10 mph. This will set the stage for a moderate Freeze inland with widespread lows in the upper 20s, along with pockets of Hard Freeze temps with lows into the middle 20s in normally colder locations, although slightly elevated winds around 5 mph will keep temps from totally bottoming out. Areas/Widespread frost is expected as well over inland areas bu sunrise Wednesday morning. The NW flow will push the cold air mass all the way to the Atlantic beaches with a light freeze expected along the I-95 corridor with lows in the lower 30s all the way to beachfront locations in SE GA, and closer to the ICWW of NE FL coastal locations. For now will keep the Freeze Watch placement as is, but may need to be pushed eastward to the I-95 corridor if colder model trends continue. The slightly elevated NW winds at 5-10 mph will produce wind chills in the lower to middle 20s late tonight through early Wednesday morning and a Cold Weather Advisory headline may be required for NE FL late tonight, but still too marginal for issuance with this package. && .SHORT TERM /WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY NIGHT/... High pressure builds to the west of the area over the Gulf midweek, shifting towards the FL peninsula by Thursday evening. Wednesday, high pressure over the Gulf will continue to bring northwesterly-westerly winds over the local area. Cold and dry air continues to advect into the area, but clearer skies for most of the day will allow for temperatures be a couple of degrees warmer than Tuesday. Daytime highs will be in the 50s area-wide, with warmer temperatures towards north central FL and along the coast. The dry conditions will bring min RHs to dip into lower 20s across SE GA, and the mid to upper 20s across NE FL. By Wednesday night, Lows will be in the 30s area-wide setting up the potential for a light freeze primarily across inland locations as coastal locations will be near 40. The high pressure over the FL peninsula shifts away from the area as a Low pressure system moves into the SE CONUS on Friday. The Low pressure system associated cold front will push near the area on Friday evening, bringing chances of precipitation for locations across far interior SE GA. By Saturday the front will begin to cross into the area, with showers and isolated thunderstorms spreading south through the day. Most activity currently is expected for locations along and north of the I-10 corridor with widespread to numerous showers and isolated chances for thunderstorms during the afternoon hours on Saturday, while isolated chances of showers expected for locations south of the I-10 corridor through Saturday night. By Sunday, precipitation chances begin to dwindle as the Low pressure and its associated cold front will be clear of the area. Temperatures will continue to warm through Saturday ahead of the cold front, reaching above seasonal norms by Saturday. Behind the front, temperatures are not expected to cool to much on Sunday. && .AVIATION /06Z TUESDAY THROUGH 06Z WEDNESDAY/...
