Issued at 111 PM CST Mon Dec 29 2025 The weather pattern will remain quiet across the central plains for several days as a dry northwest upper level flow regime persists over the region. Temperatures warm to above normal values for Tuesday and Wednesday with downslope effects helping boost the warming. The upper level flow flattens out briefly to more of a zonal pattern for Thursday into Friday with a weak upper level short wave traveling west to east across the region. Moisture associated with this system will be very limited and confined to areas well southeast of Kansas, therefore dry weather expected to continue for Kansas. A slight cool down will be in store for Thursday with the passage of the upper wave and associated weak cold front pushing through the region, however daytime highs will still be above normal for late December. Temperatures will rise a bit more heading into the weekend as upper ridging gradually builds over the central plains. && .AVIATION /06Z TAFS THROUGH 06Z WEDNESDAY/...
