Issued at 338 AM EST Tue Dec 30 2025 - Periods of Light Snow This Week Typical winter weather into the weekend with no big storms but a few clippers in fast northwest flow that will bring light snow. THe first one comes in this afternoon with some lake enhancement to the light synoptic snows and a general 1 to 2 inches by the time the snow tapers off after midnight. Snow will flare up again as the next shortwave trough follows quickly for Wednesday. Expect another 1 to 2 inches by Thursday morning before the trough axis moves east and heights rise. Light lake effect snow showers are possible on Friday as weak shortwave troughing occurs, but additional accumulations are not expected. && .AVIATION /18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z WEDNESDAY/... Issued at 1216 PM EST Tue Dec 30 2025 Light snow is ongoing this afternoon, with intermittent heavier showers at AZO/BTL. Radar shows widespread system snow upstream across Wisconsin with obs showing IFR conditions across the region. This snow arrives late this afternoon into West Michigan causing conditions to deteriorate to IFR. Conditions improve to MVFR late tonight for a time as snow transitions to more lake driven, deteriorating again Wednesday morning as an approaching system causes increasing intensity of snow showers.
