Issued at 228 PM CST Tue Dec 30 2025 Later tonight into Wednesday morning some saturation and weak lift may allow for some patchy light snow or patchy light freezing drizzle in parts of southwest MN. Confidence is low on how impactful this may be but for now impacts should be on the minor side. Northwest flow aloft increases tonight into Wednesday which will allow a weak wave to move through to the southwest of the area. This will drop surface low pressure down the Missouri River Valley into NE by Wednesday afternoon. This may bring some briefly mild temperatures to locations near and south of I-90, before colder air sags southward as cold high pressure begins to build into the area Wednesday night. Mild lows in the 20s and upper teens are expected tonight, with highs ranging from the mid 20s near Marshall to around 40 along the Missouri River on Wednesday. As this weak wave travels into NE, cold air will settle south on Wednesday night. This should bring lows back into the single digits in many locations for Thursday morning with highs mainly 20s and lower 30s for Thursday afternoon. With northwest flow aloft in place through Friday the surface high pressure remains fairly locked into place, which will keep below normal temperatures in place into Saturday. Although without much in the way of snow cover the Friday morning low will not be all that cold. A warming pattern moves into the area Saturday with upper level ridging expected. This ridging is expected to remain in place through Monday with above normal temperatures and dry conditions this weekend into early next week. && .AVIATION /18Z TAFS THROUGH 18Z WEDNESDAY/...
