.SYNOPSIS...Very warm and dry weather continues for this weekend. 

Next week will feature cooler temperatures and increased southwest 

winds, but leaning toward dry remaining dry, for now.

.DISCUSSION...From this afternoon and through the weekend, an 

amplified ridge remains over the southwestern United States and very 

warm temperatures will continue. A few daily records remain possible 

through Sunday.



By next week, the upper level pattern becomes unstable as the Hudson 

Bay Low opens up and flow through central Canada becomes much more 

progressive. At the very least, this will bring a windier and cooler 

pattern to our area, but moisture seems to be lacking. As the week 

goes by, successive lows tracking through the Great Basin may break 

down the pattern enough to produce some rain or snow late in the 

period, but confidence is low at best.

.AVIATION...Saturday 28/06Z through Sunday 01/06Z...VFR conditions

expected. Mostly light and variable winds forecast overnight, but

a few localized locations downwind of the Mogollon Rim and 

Bradshaw Mountains could see NE winds 5-15 kts. West through north

winds 5-15 kts return after 19Z.



OUTLOOK...Sunday 01/06Z through Tuesday 03/06Z...VFR conditions

forecast through the period. Look for W-SW winds 10-20 kts on

Sunday, increasing and shifting more SW on Monday at 15-25 kts.

Mostly light and variable winds overnight Saturday into Sunday,

but slightly elevated SW winds possible Sunday night into Monday

morning.

.FIRE WEATHER...Saturday and Sunday...Warm and dry conditions. 

Winds southwest to west at 5-15 mph on Saturday, becoming southwest 

at 10-20 mph gusting to 25-30 mph on Sunday. Minimum afternoon RH 

15-25% on Saturday decreasing to 10-20% on Sunday. 



Monday through Wednesday...Mainly dry conditions with a cooling 

trend. Winds southwest 10-20 mph with gusts 25-35 mph on Monday and 

then diminishing to northwest at 5-15 mph on Tuesday. Southwest 

winds at 5-15 mph on Wednesday.
