Issued at 220 AM CST Wed Dec 31 2025 Dry conditions are expected throughout the forecast period with an upper level ridge building over the Rockies through late week, moving over the Plains by this weekend. This will place western Kansas under northwest flow aloft over the next couple of days. A few weak shortwaves will move through this flow briefly shifting winds to the north but then quickly shifting back to a southerly direction by the next day as lee troughing redevelops. A slight increase in cloud cover is expected as these weak shortwaves move through the area with no precipitation expected. As for temperatures, highs today look to reach into the upper 50s east to low 60s west. We then cool down into the 50s tomorrow and Friday with the exception of far eastern and western zones where upper 40s and low 60s will be possible. Upper 50s to low 60s are expected this weekend before a slight cool down early next week. && .AVIATION /06Z TAFS THROUGH 06Z THURSDAY/...
