Updated at 514 AM CST Tue Dec 30 2025 - A Gale Warning remains in effect for the Gulf Waters through 6 PM this evening, followed by Small Craft Advisory conditions through Tuesday morning. - Elevated to near-critical fire weather concerns across all of South Texas through Wednesday due to the combination of low humidity, breezy winds, and dry fuels. - Widespread low temperatures in the 30s expected Tuesday night/Wednesday morning with a low possibility for isolated locations to drop below freezing. && .DISCUSSION... Issued at 1126 PM CST Mon Dec 29 2025 Cooler conditions have moved into the region yesterday in the wake of the cold front. Highs will struggle again today hovering around 60 across the region as cloud cover is expected to linger around through midday. Things will clear out during the afternoon as the aforementioned surface high moves overhead. With the sky clearing out, the winds relaxing, and drier air filtering in expect the coldest night to be Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Like previously mentioned, lows will plummet into the lower to upper 30s from portions of the eastern Brush Country to the Victoria Crossroads. There remains a possibility for temperatures to flirt to or just below freezing around these areas. The highest possibility will be in the drainage areas though it is expected to be just for a couple of hours around daybreak if it does pan out. Confidence is remaining low in temperatures reaching freezing across majority of the area. As drier conditions filter in behind the front, expect elevated fire weather conditions across the region excluding the immediate coast. A Fire Danger Statement has been issued for the day today with more information in the Fire Weather Discussion below. Conditions will improve and gradually warm through the remainder of the week as onshore flow returns to the region. Highs will climb back into the 80s by Friday. && .AVIATION... (12Z TAFS) Issued at 514 AM CST Tue Dec 30 2025 VFR conditions to prevail with northerly winds around 10 knots becoming light and variable this evening. && .MARINE... Issued at 1126 PM CST Mon Dec 29 2025 North- northeasterly winds at strong to gale strength (BF 6-8) will persist through this morning (Tuesday). In addition to winds, elevated seas up to 8-12 feet will continue through this morning. A Small Craft Advisory with remain in effect through noon. Winds, as well as seas, will gradually lessen heading into Tuesday afternoon, returning to light to moderate (BF 2-4) onshore flow by midweek and persisting through late week. && .FIRE WEATHER... Issued at 1126 PM CST Mon Dec 29 2025 Northerly winds will gradually lessen heading into through the day today. However, low minimum RH values will continue hang around heading into Wednesday, supporting lingering elevated fire weather concerns through midweek. Due to this a Fire Danger Statement was issued due to relative humidity values as low as 15% to go along with dry fuels and higher ERCs (50-69th percentile). Warmer and slightly more humid conditions return by late week before a weak front propagating in by early weekend (Saturday) lowers minimum RH values below 30% once again across portions of the Brush Country. && .PRELIMINARY POINT TEMPS/POPS...
