At 134 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable
of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were
located along a line extending from 23 nm northwest of Duluth Lift
Bridge Channel, moving east at 55 knots.

Locations impacted include...
Grand Portage Marina, Castle Danger, Sugar Loaf Cove, Tofte Safe
Harbor, Horseshoe Bay And Safe Harbor, Twin Points Safe Harbor,
Taconite Harbor, Tofte, Beaver Bay, Mouth Of The Cross River, Grand
Marais Harbor, Split Rock Lighthouse, and Silver Bay Marina and Ore
Dock.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

These strong thunderstorms will likely produce winds in excess of 34
knots, and is likely to pose a serious hazard for boaters. A special
marine warning will likely be required when these strong
thunderstorms reach the nearshore waters. Boaters should consider
heading for shore before these strong thunderstorms arrive.

Intense lightning is occurring with these storms. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
